Understand Your Water Performance

Poor water pressure and restricted flow can affect taps, showers, toilets and other bathroom products. The problem may relate to the incoming supply, internal pipework, valves, restrictions or the products themselves.

Our Water Pressure and Flow Check provides a professional assessment of the accessible system. We will complete the appropriate checks, explain our findings and recommend the most suitable next step.

WHEN TO ARRANGE A CHECK

Problems We Can Investigate

Slow Flow or Weak Taps

Water may take longer than expected to fill a basin or bath, or the flow may feel noticeably weaker than it used to.

Underperforming Shower

Your shower may struggle to provide a comfortable or consistent flow, particularly when other outlets are being used.

Inconsistent Pressure

The water may perform normally at certain times before dropping unexpectedly or changing between different outlets.

Flow Drops Around the Property

Using one tap, shower or appliance may noticeably reduce the water available elsewhere in the property.

TESTING THE SYSTEM

What the Assessment May Include

The exact checks will depend on the symptoms you are experiencing and the type of plumbing system in your property.

Where appropriate and accessible, the visit may include:

  • Discussing when and where the problem occurs

  • Checking water flow at relevant taps and outlets

  • Comparing hot and cold water performance

  • Measuring available water pressure where appropriate

  • Checking accessible isolation valves and controls

  • Looking for visible leaks, restrictions or installation problems

  • Assessing performance when multiple outlets are used

  • Considering whether proposed bathroom products are suitable

  • Explaining the findings and recommended next steps

The appointment is non-invasive. Hidden or inaccessible pipework cannot be inspected without further investigation.

CHOOSE SUITABLE PRODUCTS

Check Before You Invest

Water pressure and flow can affect the performance of showers, taps and other bathroom products. A product that is not suitable for the existing system may not work as expected.

Completing an assessment before purchasing or installing new products can help you make a more informed decision. We can use the findings to recommend suitable options or identify plumbing improvements that may be required first.
